More than a dozen attendees at Donald Trump’s rally in Tucson, Arizona last week suffered mysterious eye injuries and other unexplainable symptoms, such as blurred vision, burning, swelling and temporary blindness.

The unexplained injuries were so serious that some left the September 12th rally and rushed straight to the emergency room.

“As soon as we left and we stepped outside, my eyes were burning,” Mayra Rodriguez, a former Planned Parenthood director and whistleblower who is a vocal figure in the Republican Party said. “It kept getting worse and worse.”

“My eyes were watering a lot, my nose started running, then I started feeling my face get really flushed and my neck felt like it was on fire and it just progressed from there,” Rodriguez said.

As many as 20 people described similar symptoms during or immediately after the rally. Some individuals still have yet to fully recover.

Many of the injured individuals were part of the group “Latinos for Trump,” who were seated behind Trump on the right side of the stage. In contrast, no one from the group seated on the left side of the stage experienced any symptoms. It is important to note that Trump entered the stage from the right side.

It is still not known what exactly caused these injuries.

Emergency room doctors ruled out the event lights and allergens. Other medical personnel questioned whether it could have been from chemicals.

This has stoked speculation on-line that it was another attack on Trump and his supporters.

The Trump campaign says it is aware of the situation and is investigating.
