During Wednesday night’s protest at USC, authorities arrested 93 individuals after they refused to follow the university’s request to leave the area. Once they refused to leave, they were considered to be trespassing.

LAPD Captain Kelly Muniz confirmed that water bottles and objects were thrown at officers. Additionally, one person was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

“There was an altercation at one portion of the protest area, we did have one arrest for assault with a deadly weapon,” Muniz said. “So, in addition to the trespass arrests that we continue to work on, that arrest did occur as well.”

Captain Muniz went on to say that no injuries were reported on either side.

It’s unclear when USC will reopen its campus.
