Three valet drivers were killed in Houston after being struck by a vehicle as it tried to flee from police. During a press conference on Friday, officers said a patrol sergeant saw the unidentified driver doing donuts in a parking lot, which led to a pursuit.
The driver lost control and struck three valet workers before crashing into a ditch.
“We’re talking about three individuals who were just out here working. They were out here doing their job. They were coming back from parking cars, going to get more cars,” stated Assistant Chief Yasar Bashir of Houston Police Department. “This one is as egregious as we’ve seen in a very long time in regards to a pursuit.”

Investigators continue to determine whether the driver was impaired during the crash. Officers said this happened as a result of one person refusing a ticket or going to jail for a misdemeanor and added the suspect could potentially face felony charges.
