Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) warned the Democrat majority against eliminating the filibuster. Speaking on the Senate floor Tuesday, he stated nobody serving in the chamber can even begin to imagine what a scorched earth Senate would look like.
Breaking Senate rules to kill the filibuster would not open up an express lane to liberal change. It would not open up an express lane for the Biden presidency to speed into the history books. The Senate would function more like a hundred-car pile-up. Nothing moving.

McConnell warned Democrats if they scrapped the procedure, Republicans would pass conservative policies with “zero input” from the left if they take back the chamber in 2022.
McConnell says he would enact conservative policies with “zero input” from Dems. Lists defunding planned parenthood, sanctuary cities and nationwide right to work, concealed carried reciprocity in D.C. and 50 states

The Kentucky senator then vowed to take action on several issues, including abortion, illegal immigration and gun rights.
“How about this? Nationwide right to work for working Americans. Defunding Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities on day one,” McConnell stated. “A whole new era of domestic energy production. Sweeping new protections for conscience and the right to life of the unborn. Concealed carry reciprocity in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.”
McConnell also noted the Senate is evenly split and despite what left-wing activists want, the American people did not give them a mandate to radically transform the nation.
