Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano, 34, from the Dominican Republic, was arrested arrested on Saturday in connection with the August 31st murders of Fraime Ubaldo, 30, Marangely Moreno-Santiago, 26, Evangeline Ubaldo-Moreno, 4, and Sebastian Ubaldo-Moreno, 2, at their home on Knapp Avenue.
Local firefighters found the victims’ bodies while putting out multiple fires at their home that morning. Police stated that it was quickly noticeable they had been killed by something other than the fire.
“This was a horrific scene. In almost 32 years of doing this job, I have never seen anything like it,” said Irondequoit Police Chief Scott Peters.
Additionally, the suspect was also wanted for a 2019 murder in the Dominican Republic, according to police. He allegedly entered Puerto Rico illegally and obtained an illegal New York identification card, which allowed him to travel to the continental U.S. without any issues.
Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call Irondequoit police at (585) 336-6000 or CrimeStoppers at (585) 423-9300.
