In the latest drama, President Joe Biden said in a new interview that he would consider dropping out if he was diagnosed with a “medical condition” by doctors, giving an indication he could possibly be on his way out.

Biden made the comments during an interview with BET, taped on Tuesday when he was asked what it would take to prompt him to reconsider his candidacy.

“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” Biden said in an excerpt released from the interview Wednesday.

Biden also stated that he has the mindset to run again, instead of serving as a transitional leader, because of how divided the country is.

“I said I was going to be a transitional candidate, and I thought I would be able to move on from this and pass it on to somebody else,” he said. “But I didn’t anticipate things getting so, so, so divided. And quite frankly, I think the only thing age brings is a little bit of wisdom.”

On Wednesday Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) became the 21st House Democrat to call for the 81-year-old president to step away, saying that “it is time for him to pass the torch.”

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris is considered to be his replacement should Biden drop out before the November election, but some believe she could be a worse candidate for the Democrat party.

Doctors who have studied Biden’s remarks said he may have Parkinson’s disease or a related condition.

However, the White House has repeatedly stated that Biden has not shown signs of cognitive decline, following his horrendous, confused debate performance on June 27th that sent Democrats in a panic.

“As it relates to, you know, something like a cognitive test… the medical team said it is not warranted in this case,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said July 2nd.

“We have put forward a thorough, transparent annual report on his health,” she continued. “So, they have said that is not warranted. It is not necessary.”

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) plans on holding a virtual vote to confirm Biden as the party’s nominee in August, while saying on Wednesday that the digital roll call would begin no earlier than August 1st, after recent calls to start the voting in the next few days.
