Ohio Senator J.D. Vance is President Donald Trump’s vice president pick.
In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump said he’s decided that Vance is the best person suited to assume the position after he considered the tremendous talents of many others.

He mentioned the Ohio senator has honorably served our county. He went on to tout Vance’s degrees from Ohio State and Yale Law School.
He also commended Vance’s bestselling book and movie Hillbilly Elegy, saying it championed the hardworking men and woman of our country.
Trump says 39-year-old will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for including the American workers and farmers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and more.
He added that Vance will continue to fight for our Constitution, stand with our troops and do everything he can to help “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
This announcement comes on the first day of the Republican National Convention. It is taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
