A man from Minnesota has been accused of killing his wife with a knife during an at-home Bible study.

At about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, St. Paul police were called to a residence.

Authorities claimed in charge documents that they discovered 41-year-old Corrina Woodhull with knife cuts to her torso, chest, and arms, and that her husband, 40-year-old Robert Castillo, was being restrained.

Woodhull was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where she was eventually pronounced dead by a doctor.

Castillo was then allegedly charged with second-degree murder.

One of the witnesses from the scene recalled Woodhull saying, “Don’t let me die,” just before she passed out.

On Friday, it was still unclear whether Castillo had a lawyer. The attack’s potential motivation has not yet been revealed by authorities.

Castillo’s sister informed police that every Tuesday, Woodhull held a Bible study at her residence for family members. According to the charging papers, Woodhull and Castillo were seated next to each other on a couch.

Castillo held his wife’s hand and kissed her during this week’s meet up, before whispering something in her ear.

He then allegedly pulled out a hunting knife and started stabbing her after she shook her head in disagreement. Castillo was then restrained by other family members until the police came.

The alleged killer’s brother said that the husband and wife had been having marital problems recently.

According to court documents, Castillo has a very lengthy criminal past that included felony convictions for assault.

Prosecutors claimed that he had repeatedly stabbed a roommate in one instance and assaulted a woman with a hammer in another.
