Republicans in the House have said they’re ready to fight back against Democrats, suggesting the same treatment the “America First” GOP representatives have received.

According to recent reports, many radical House Democrats are at risk of losing their committee assignments if Republicans take back the majority in the House. This, after Democrats voted to strip GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Paul Gosar (Ariz.) from their committee assignments.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) vowed to give back Greene and Gosar’s committee assignments when Republicans retake the majority in 2022.

Greene was stripped of her assignments as punishment over social media remarks, while Gosar lost his and was censured over an anime meme that was said to encourage violence amongst lawmakers in an attempt to depict the Biden border crisis.

When the House voted to censure Gosar and remove him from his committees, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) gave a speech pointing out how the Democrats were intentionally targeting her colleagues one by one, despite their hypocrisy. Some of the Democrats that garnered attention as potential GOP targets were Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).

Waters came under the radar of Republicans after comments she made during the Trump administration, where she threatened to send mobs against administration officials.

“If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station; you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome,” Waters previously said.

Meanwhile, in order to take over the House and follow through on these reprisals, Republicans will need to flip five seats in the midterms.
