Police revealed a shooting at an Illinois courthouse was a targeted gang-related incident that left two people dead. Police said Antonio Hernandez opened fire at three men leaving the courthouse on Thursday, killing 26-year-old Victor Andrade and wounding another.

Authorities said the victim’s brother, Miguel Andrade, grabbed a gun from his car and shot Hernandez, killing him. Miguel was later taken into custody with the other shooter and the injured victim is said to be recovering from surgery in the hospital.

“They’re all members of the same gang. There was some type of feud with them, a long ongoing feud between them. So, I guess this is one way they thought they could solve it,” said Chief Robin Passwater of Kankakkee Police Department.

Officials revealed all those involved, except for the injured man, were a part of the Latin Kings Gang.
