Far-left activists have demanded Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer step down after he warned against court-packing. On Friday, liberal advocacy group “Demand Justice” posted a call to action on social media and drove a billboard truck around Capitol Hill with messages for “Breyer to retire.”
We can’t afford to risk Democrats losing control of the Senate before President Biden can follow through on his promise to nominate the first Black woman Supreme Court justice.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who has worked with “Demand Justice” in the past, did not tell the group to stand down their efforts, but instead said the Justice could make his own decisions.
“He believes that’s a decision Justice Breyer will make when he decides it’s time for him to no longer serve on the Supreme Court,” Psaki stated. “I think I can just speak to the what [Biden’s] view is of the Supreme Court justice’s ability to make his own decision.”
In the meantime, Republican lawmakers have condemned this flip on Breyer as well as the attempts by the left to pack the court.
