New York Assemblyman Ron Kim (D) continued his push to impeach Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) over COVID deaths in state nursing homes. At a rally in Manhattan Wednesday, Kim was joined by other elected Democrats and those who lost family members in nursing homes and care facilities.
No matter how hard they try to escape accountability, how many reports they bury or people they bully, Governor Cuomo & his admin have to answer to New Yorkers –
The people who lost family deserve to know the truth. Thank you to @rontkim for continuing to demand transparency. pic.twitter.com/uZ63I9igT2

Kim called on Cuomo to return $2 million in contributions from hospital lobbyists and to repeal legal immunity granted to nursing homes and hospitals. Some in attendance said the pandemic exposed Cuomo as a pay-to-play governor who dodges accountability and passes the blame.
.@NYGovCuomo should not be allowed to play politics with the lives of our loved ones—putting the needs of his corporate donors first & passing blame to the workers when he gets caught. Today we stand with the families demanding accountability & justice for our grieving families. pic.twitter.com/sLKu0OvoSu

“Nursing homes telling him: ‘You can’t do this,’” Kim said. “‘Half of our staff are out. Everyone is sick. Your March 25th order will kill people.’ That’s what the workers were telling the governor.”

Kim also called on Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to open an immediate investigation into the matter. Kim claimed Cuomo threatened retribution over the criticisms of the state’s handling of nursing home deaths.
Can not believe that Cuomo has not been removed from his office and tarred and feathered for the murders off nursing home residence.
