A new poll showed Virginia State Senator Amanda Chase leading the state’s Republican primary for governor. The Christopher Newport University survey was released on Friday and showed that 17 percent of Republican voters supported Chase.
Look forward to winning the General and proving all of these politicos they’re fools. People are tired of the political ruling class. They want a Governor who knows how to get things done and works for the people. Re-runs aren’t going to win in 2021. https://t.co/FPIx5RRqzv

In the meantime, 10 percent backed former Virginia House Speaker Kirk Cox while tech businessman Pete Snyder gained six percent support. Chase is a staunch Trump supporter and has touted her fight for Second Amendment rights and re-opening the state. If she wins the GOP primary, Chase will face the winner of the crowded Democrat field.
I’d like to think Republicans would support strong women for Governor. We need women from the suburbs; I am one. We’re young, professional, educated women who think for ourselves and aren’t under anyone’s thumb. Republicans should support their women if they ever want to win.

So far, the poll showed former Governor Terry McAuliffe leading with 26 percent support from Democrat voters.
