Gov. Larry Hogan (R-Md.) urged Joe Biden to make good on his vow to unify the nation amid a partisan push from some of the left to pass legislation without GOP support.
In a video released on Monday, Hogan questioned if Biden’s calls for unity and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) pledge to find common ground were just “empty words.”
Washington needs to pass a COVID-19 relief bill.

He stressed Congress needs to pass COVID-19 relief legislation soon, but with input from both sides of the aisle.
“We need both parties at the table offering their best ideas. That’s the only way to stop the vicious cycle of divisiveness and dysfunction,” Hogan stated. “This moment demands humility and bipartisan cooperation, not more take it or leave it or partisan obstruction.”
This came as Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) and others have pushed for Senate Democrats to use reconciliation to pass COVID-19 relief legislation, without the say of Republicans.
