Recently obtained emails from a business partner of Hunter Biden show an attempted plan to get millions of dollars from the former chairman of a Chinese energy company.

Hunter’s former associate, Tony Bobulinski, revealed a 2017 email showing Hunter asking Chinese billionaire Ye Jianming for $10 million to “properly fund and operate” a joint business venture between Jianming and the Biden family.

Back in 2017, Jianming was the chairman of China Energy Company and the China Energy Fund Committee, and was working to secure a deal worth $9 billion with a Russian oil company.

A year later, prosecutors in the U.S. were investigating Jianming for committing “economic crimes,” including bribery. He was in custody in China, but has since disappeared with the President’s personal attorney, Rudy Guiliani, claiming there’s only one real possibility for where he is. “At the bottom of the river.”

Hunter’s partners also said the former vice president was scheduling meetings with Chinese business interests. Biden’s dealings in China are currently under investigation by the federal government.

In light of the investigation, lawmakers are calling for increased scrutiny of the threat of pervasive Chinese influence in American society and politics.

In an interview Thursday, congressman Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) said China is a far more serious threat than the Soviet Union back in the day. He added, China built its economy by stealing U.S. technology and by co-opting Democrat officials.

Waltz stressed Democrat Party officials must stop selling out our country to China and its corrupt Communist Party bureaucrats.
