President Donald Trump says House Republicans must unite behind an upcoming budget resolution to pass key elements of the SAVE America Act.
Taking to Truth Social on Monday, the president highlighted efforts by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and the House Budget Committee to weave the election integrity legislation into a broader budget reconciliation framework.
Under the proposed resolution, $10 billion would be directed to the House Administration Committee to enact election overhaul measures—rewarding states that require photo IDs and proof of citizenship to vote, while rolling back widespread mail-in balloting.
Trump urged all House Republicans to rally behind the budget resolution this week, calling it a good first step toward getting the bill passed.
