President Donald Trump has endorsed seven Republican candidates for the House of Representatives as the GOP gears up for the November midterm elections.
The president posted the endorsements to his Truth Social platform on Monday. He characterized the candidates as “America First Patriot[s],” who would grow the economy, cut taxes and regulations, create jobs, keep the border secure, support the U.S. military and veterans, promote products MADE IN THE U.S.A. and defend the Second Amendment.
First, he threw support behind former lawyer and small business owner Jenny Costa Honeycutt for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.
“A very successful Business Owner, Attorney, Civic Leader, and Loving Wife and Mother, Jenny has dedicated her life to serving her Community,” Trump wrote.
“Grounded in faith, family, and the Lowcountry values that shaped her life, Jenny Costa Honeycutt is ready to serve South Carolina’s Lowcountry in Washington,” her campaign biography said.
Second, he gave his “Complete and Total Endorsement” to Dr. John Cowan, a neurosurgeon and small business owner, for Georgia’s 11th Congressional District.
“A Proven Leader, John has served his Community well as a Highly Respected Neurosurgeon, Small Business Owner, and Civic Leader, prior to running for Congress,” Trump’s post read.
According to Cowen’s campaign website, he “is running for Congress because he believes our country works best when serious people step up to solve serious problems.”
Trump endorsed Texas state Representative Steve Toth (R-Texas) for the state’s 2nd District.
“A Highly Respected State Legislator, and Very Successful Small Business Owner, Steve has been an incredible Voice for MAGA, and has been with me from the very beginning!” Trump remarked.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-La.) also endorsed Toth on Monday.
“As a pastor, small business owner, and state representative, in Congress, Steve will defend our farmers, veterans, and all the principles that have made America the greatest nation on Earth,” he said in a statement on X.
Trump then endorsed businessman and entrepreneur Anthony DiLorenzo for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District.
“Anthony understands the America First Policies required to Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Champion our Nation’s Golden Age,” Trump stated.
“Anthony DiLorenzo has lived the American Dream,” DiLorenzo’s website read. “Now, as a Republican running for Congress, he is committed to protecting that opportunity for the next generation, bringing a strong work ethic, real-world experience, pragmatic business principles, and common sense to Washington.”
In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump supported Porter County Commissioner Barb Regnitz for Indiana’s 1st Congressional District, while also condemning former North Township Trustee Frank Mrvan, her left-wing opponent.
“A very successful Businesswoman, Software Engineer, and Civic Leader, prior to becoming a distinguished Porter County Commissioner, Barb is a Proven Leader who has dedicated her life to serving her Community,” said the president.
“Her opponent, Frank Mrvan, strongly opposed our Great STEEL TARIFFS and Workers that made all of these Jobs, and currently built Factories and Plants that are going up right now, possible,” he continued. “We increased Union Jobs and Votes by numbers never seen before, and Frank Mrvan was a, ‘NO.’ Mrvan also voted against NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY and, if he and the Dumocrats ever got in, all of these things would be terminated. He wants massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender for Everybody.”
Next, he endorsed Hempstead Town Receiver Jeanine Driscoll for New York’s 4th Congressional District, while talking down her opponent, Representative Laura Gillen (D-N.Y.).
“As the Receiver of Taxes in America’s largest town, Jeanine knows the AMERICA FIRST Policies required to Grow our Economy, Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE,” Trump wrote.”
“Her opponent, Laura Gillen, voted against NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY and, if she and the Dumocrats ever got in, all of these things would be terminated,” he continued.
Finally, he chose to support Tennessee state Senator Brent Taylor (R-Tenn.) for the state’s 9th Congressional District.
He explained that Brent is “strongly supported by the most Highly Respected MAGA Warriors in Tennessee,” including Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.).
“A Successful Businessman, and very popular State Senator, Brent has dedicated his life to serving his Community,” he said, adding, “HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
