Vice President JD Vance made confident and attention-grabbing debut on “The View,” delivering a composed and assertive performance that quickly set the tone for his appearance on the daytime talk show.
On Tuesday, the vice president aggressively defended the Trump administration’s record, pushing back against a panel of six adversarial co-hosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Ana Navarro.
Vance appeared on the program to official release day of his highly anticipated new faith memoir, “Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith,” Vance consistently steered the conversation back to the administration’s winning economic and security agendas.
Vance highlighted the historic influx of domestic capital investment secured under President Donald Trump’s second term, pointing to a massive boom in American construction and manufacturing jobs.
When pressed on inflation, the vice president dismantled critics by reminding viewers that the administration successfully inherited and is actively fixing a deep-seated affordability crisis left behind by the previous Biden administration.
The Republican also delivered his sharpest rebuke of the morning when challenged on border security by the panel of women.
Vance forcefully flipped the script on the panel’s criticism of the GOP’s immigration enforcement efforts, declaring that the true inhumanity lies in weak border policies that allow violent cartels to freely sex traffic victims, including children, across the U.S. border.
