President Donald Trump has landed in Evian-les-Bains, France, ahead of the Group of 7 (G7) Summit.
Following the successful display of the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on Sunday evening, President Trump immediately journeyed across the Atlantic to join fellow world leaders in France.
According to the official schedule, Trump is set to meet with European leaders on Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss critical mineral supply chains, global economic imbalances and AI safety.
Notably, the group is also expected to discuss the tentative peace deal that was recently reached by Trump and Iranian officials.
Host country France has made the fight against cancer an official G7 priority for the first time in the summit’s 51-year-long history.
France has one of the highest overall cancer incidence rates in Europe, but its mortality rates are slightly below the EU average. Nationwide, there are over 480,000 new cases diagnosed annually. In 2021, cancer claimed over 162,000 lives, making it the leading cause of death in the country, according to the European Cancer Inequalities Registry.
Countries involved in the G7 Summit include:
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Japan
- United Kingdom
- United States
