President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the Iran deal is “now complete.”

“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” the president posted to Truth Social.

Trump provided no further details of the logistics of the deal.

Following the onset of hostilities on Iran with the advent of Operation Epic Fury on February 28^th, the United States and the Islamic Republic entered into an fragile ceasefire in early April. Shortly after, the United States implemented a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz as the two countries worked toward a permanent peace deal.
