Trump endorses Lindsey Graham, praising SAVE Act support – One America News Network

President Donald Trump showed his full support for Senator Lindsey Graham with an enthusiastic endorsement, especially praising the lawmaker’s support for the SAVE America Act.

Trump praised Graham (R-S.C.) on Thursday for advancing the measure and urged Republican voters to turn out for Graham in South Carolina’s upcoming GOP Senate primary election.

“I’d like to thank our GREAT Senator, Lindsey Graham, for putting up THE SAVE AMERICA ACT for a Vote today,” wrote Trump on Truth Social.

The president highlighted five key provisions of the Save America Act:

All voters are required to show photo identification to vote
Voters are required to show proof of citizenship
Absentee ballots are only accepted in cases of illness, disability, military or travel
Biological male athletes are banned from competing in women’s athletic events
Transgender mutilation surgery is banned for children

The bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives, but has repeatedly failed in the Senate, most recently on Thursday.

Trump’s endorsement underscores the deep political alliance between the two men. Graham remains one of Trump’s most visible allies in the Senate, staying closely aligned with the president on judicial nominations, foreign policy issues and election-related debates.

“This Tuesday, June 9th, all Republicans in South Carolina should vote for Lindsey Graham,” declared Trump.

The president’s endorsement continues to carry immense weight within the Republican Party. Just recently, his fierce opposition to Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) in Kentucky’s primary cost the long-time incumbent his House seat.

Last week, after congratulating another candidate he backed, Ken Paxton, for his Texas Senate primary election victory, Trump pointed out on Truth Social that 100% of the candidates he endorsed this year won their primary elections, so far.

On Tuesday, 37 more of the president’s endorsed candidates advanced in their Republican primary races, including the House candidates from all four districts in Iowa. The only exception to his otherwise perfect streak was U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), who narrowly lost the GOP gubernatorial primary election in his state to businessman and farmer Zach Lahn. Still, this would bring the total successful primary Trump endorsements to 155 out of 156, or over 99%.
