A mock photo of President Donald Trump lying lifeless in a shallow grave was posted by “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill, saying the president should live long enough to be “held accountable” for his “countless crimes.”

The White House responded to the post on Thursday, calling Hamill “one sick individual” when the AI-generated photo began circulating on the internet.

“If only,” Hammil opined, including an alarming photo of Trump lying beneath a tombstone surrounded by daisies. The words “Donald J. Trump 1946–2024” were engraved onto the headstone.

The 74-year-old actor, best known for playing the character Luke Skywalker, posted the disturbing image on the social platform Bluesky.

“He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore,” the post read.

“These Radical Left lunatics just can’t help themselves,” The White House fired back on X. “This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President.”

Hamill has a long history of critiquing Trump online and in interviews, even claiming that he considered moving to the UK or Ireland after Trump’s election victory in 2024.

The actor has since deleted the eerie photo, apologizing in a later post on Bluesky.

“Accurate Edit for Clarity: ‘He should live long enough to… be held accountable for his… crimes,’” the post read. “Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate.”
