President Donald Trump showed his support for changing the name of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (NICE).
Sharing a screenshot of an X post that put forward the suggested change, the president posted to Truth Social on Sunday evening to voice his approval.
“I want Trump to change ICE to NICE (National Immigration and Customs Enforcement) so the media has to say NICE agents all day everyday,” the X user wrote.
“GREAT IDEA!!! DO IT,” Trump replied.

ICE agents have faced significant public backlash, with protests erupting in many cities, as they carry out the Trump Administration’s directive of cracking down on illegal immigration.
Last week, the president called out Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) for saying “nobody respects in this country” ICE and Border Patrol.
Trump blasted the remark as “one of the most egregious, incorrect, unpatriotic, and dangerous statements I have EVER heard from a ‘professional’ politician,” demanding the senator’s apology.
